"Still Water" (2010) by British sculptor Nic Fiddian-Green stands near London's Marble Arch. Towering 33 feet (10 meters) high, the bronze sculpture was commissioned to replace an earlier, smaller version entitled Horse at Water XV. Set within a popular London park known as a favored spot for picnics, the serene, larger-than-life horse's head appears to drink from an unseen pool, embodying a moment of quiet stillness amid the city's pace.

The sculptural ensemble entitled L'Immortalité Devançant le Temps(“Immortality Outrunning Time”), positioned at one end of Paris’s Grand Palais, takes the form of a quadriga—a chariot drawn by four horses harnessed side by side. This bronze group was created by sculptor Georges Recipon, who also crafted a second quadriga for the opposite end of the avenue, forming a monumental symmetrical statement at the heart of the city.
