"Mustangs of Las Colinas" is a bronze sculpture by Robert Glen, set within a fountain plaza in Irving, Texas. Commissioned in 1976 and unveiled in 1984, the dynamic composition captures nine wild mustangs in mid‑gallop, splashing through the shallow water. The interplay of bronze and water lends the work a vivid sense of motion—so convincing that the viewer can almost hear the rush of hooves and the spray of the river.

Sergeant Reckless was a remarkable war horse who served alongside the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Tirelessly transporting ammunition from supply depots to the front lines—often alone—she made as many as 50 trips per day, at times returning with wounded soldiers. For her exceptional service, she was awarded two Purple Hearts and numerous other military honors. Sgt. Reckless passed away in May 1968 and was laid to rest with full military honors at Camp Pendleton.
